v2.3 doesn't work for zune 30g
I recently downloaded the new v2.3 firmware for my zune 80g but when I did that, my whole library was updated and I can't use it for my 30g. I tried to install v2.3 for the 30g and it doesn't work. Any ideas or is my 30g now useless?

The firmware between the 30 and 80 are slightly different. Unplug your 80 and plug in your 30, what does the software say?

How much free space do you have on it? If you have less than 1 Gb, it won't work - you'll need to take some stuff off...
If you have a lot of free space, simply restart the Zune (back button + up on the middle button) and restart the Zune Software and it should work (I had a similar problem with my Zune 80) hope that helps.... EDIT - I too have both the Zune 80 and Zune 30 and they both work...

It should work fine. You should try updating it on a different computer.

v2.3 works for the 30gb Zune as I updated it yesterday and it works fine but I did have a reformatted hdd when I installed it. The only problem I have with my Zune is it seems to take forever to put movies on it but I'm still getting used to it.
