Default New Zune 2.3 Device Firmware

Just Letting you know that Microsoft has updates its device firmware to version 2.3. I believe this updates improves performance and reliability of the syncing and also fixes the battery issues some people have been experiencing.

Yeah, the main fix here is for battery issues.

Sync seems faster and more reliable (the software often didn't open up for me on wireless sync, now it does) but it still doesn't always check my podcasts for updates.

This was an update for firmware only, so the software functions remain unchanged.

When will they improve the music organization part of the software? I have a very large amount of music but they are unorganized, I usually organize it through WMP11 or Foobar2k but the Zune Software's Click-and-Drag to oraganize music is completely gone.
I love like 80% of the 2.2 firmware but I had to downgrade due to the little small stuff that made it impossible to love it.

Cool, now maybe my battery will last even longer. Cause I've never had battery life problems before.

Hey guys, I am currently running the old software..Not the new one because, well I like the old one better. But I want to update to the new 2.3 firmware on my 30. Well, when I left click on my zune (in the software) and click on "Check for Zune device update" it tells me my device has the latest firmware....Whats up with that? Is there any other place I can get this firmware? Or some way to fix this? thanks!

You'll have to download the new software to get the new firmware.

I wonder if we are going to get more big features throughout the year on firmware updates or if they're just going to wait till next november to give us big updates.
