I just picked up the Zune Travel Pack
Since I'll be traveling this holiday season, I needed something to store my Zune and Zune gear in, as well as having a backup Sync cable, and a wall AC outlet adaptor.テつ*テつ*I didn't need the Premium earphones, or the inline dual connect remote....however the cost for the package was less than just purchasing what I needed. The Gear "bag" is top notch.テつ*テつ*It's not so much a bag as it is a semi-rigid case that opens up like a book.テつ*テつ*When you open it, there is foam padding with a Zune cutout and thick elastic cloth covered band to keep it in place, and a space for the Premium earphone case on one side. On the other side it's completely open except for a clothlike semi-elastic meshing which opens along the center to hold in anything you might place in there.テつ*テつ*This is where you put all your cables, chargers, etc. Between these two sides is a hard, leatherlike divider to further make the case sturdy and to keep the contents of both sides from encroaching upon each other. The Sync cable, same as the one that comes with the Zune, great for travel or for keeping at work, your laptop bag, etc. The AC adaptor uses the sync cable which plugs into it, which then plugs into a wall outlet for when a computer is not handy to charge your zune. The inline remote plugs into the sync port of the Zune and allows two headsets to plug into it so that you can listen with a friend...each headset has it's own volume settings.テつ*テつ*It also has the Pause/Play, Forward and Reverse buttons on it. The Premium headphones are top notch as well.テつ*テつ*These are more of an In-Ear canal variety, and have the nice magnetic feature you've come to know and love with the standard Zune earphones.テつ*テつ*The sound quality is very very good, as good if not better than the default phones....however I am not much of an audiophile to be able to detect the differences.テつ*テつ*The one thing I don't like with sound isolating earphones of this variety is that when touching or tapping the earphone cord, you can really hear it.テつ*テつ*I think this is the nature of the in-ear canal phones in general and vibrations traveling along the cord.テつ*テつ*My default earphones are the Vibe's from V-Moda, which although are in-ear, do not cut out ambient noise as much as the Zune Premium one's do which contributes to the more noticeable sound conductivity of the cord. The case for the headphones is GREAT.テつ*テつ*It holds them like you see in the pictures in the link above, with two posts to coil the cord onto.テつ*テつ*At the base of these posts is a piece of plastic where the jack fits into snugly so that it does not unravel.テつ*テつ* This entire top part has a smokey plastic cover to keep everything nice and neat. The whole thing looks like a slightly large Black Zippo when the cap(s) are on.テつ*テつ*Not evident at first is that the BOTTOM portion of this earphone case is also a cap that comes off.テつ*テつ*This is where it houses 2 additional pair of earphone silicon gels (black) of different sizes.テつ*テつ*Very nicely thought out indeed. Anyhow, if you need most of what this offers...definately consider picking it up....it's well worth the cost and the quality shows.
