Just got the sweet Zune Dock!

The gamestop I work for are selling the docks, they're nice, but nothing more than a show piece... I'd rather stick with my sync cable. Wait a second... did somebody instructable?

This is why companies charge so much for this crap because ppl will still buy docking stations for $20+ when there is no need at all for a docking station.

Thats not true. You can use the Zune Remote with the Zune Dock. I don't think you can use the Zune Remot without the Zune Dock.

Ok, I didnt think this was worth making a whole new thread for, so i'll just post it here:

I went out and got the Zune remote, knowing that I wouldnt use it nearly enough to justify it's $30 price tag... so as soon as I got home, i whipped out my good ol' universal learning remote, and made it 'learn' all the functions of the zune remote! needless to say i was back at bestbuy returning the zune remote within the hour.

just some food for thought!

Glad to see you like the dock, cchasem. I can't use a dock on my Zune unless I take the case off.. But the case came with a nice stand that works great.

The dock doesn't come with an AC Adapter, unless you fork out the $100 for the full home A/V dock kit(Dock, Remote, A/V Cable, Charger and Sync cable).

Don't know what 'case' you are referring to, but I doubt any cases come with a charger, other than that full travel kit w/case.

Hell, the A/C adapter I bought didn't even come with the Sync cable(just a box that plugs into the wall with a USB port on it), talk about Microsoft hitting us for every little accessory we might want....

thx a lot Ness, I made a mistake I was asking about the dock not a case. But the dock comes only with a connector for the AC adapter not the physical adapter, is it correct?

The dock alone is just that the dock. No adapter, no cable nothing. If you spend the 100 on the home a/v kit it comes with every thing. Its a good little deal.
