Question Can you charge a Zune with an iPod cable?
I am putting a new sound sytem into my car, and it comes with an iPod ready cable that plugs into the bottom of the iPod. Is it compatible with Zune? I hate to sound dumb, but I've never payed attention to if an iPod cord is the same to Zune.

The usb port = usb port, but the point where it plugs in in totally proprietary, meaning you need a Zune one, an iPod one, et all.

Nop,It won't work, probably won't even fit in eatch others.I wouldn't try, might mess up your zune.Happy New Years!!!

ipod and microsoft plugs are different.. ipod plug is a bit bigger than the microsoft/zune plug and it isn't compatiable but the chargers are

To just clarify it doesn't work.
BUT, the USB port on the back of the stereo is a plain old USB port.
Just plug your Zune's sync cable into it and you'll be able to charge your Zune.
