FM Tuner for $10
Target has an FM Tuner for $10 in their "cheap gifts" section on the side aisles. I actually found this in the clothing section near Men's belts. It comes in a red and white box. I picked one up out of curiosity and the fact that it's ridiculously cheap for an FM tuner. I think the cheapest name brand one I've seen is around $30.
Anyway, it has no brand name. It just says Target on the box and that it's made in China. It takes 2 AAA batteries or you can use the car charger that comes with it. I haven't tried the charger, but I assume it works even though it looks cheap.
To my surprise, the unit itself actually does work. I was able to pick up the default channel 107.1 FM in my car and on my home stereo system. There are 4 channel presets. The sound is adequate. Definitely nothing to write home about, but it is completely functional. It's a great gift for a kid, or something to travel with. If you have an older vehicle with a standard console that doesn't have AUX IN, then maybe this is perfect for you. It works, and it's cheap. Hard to argue with especially if you're looking at budget Christmas and can't afford a new car stereo.
