Thanks for the inspiration. Here's the pics of my dock:

My son wants his lego bricks back, but considering that most were mine from when I was a kid... he's not getting these back. I've had build for about a week. Its a little big, but so far I'm loving it. Its the geekest thing ever to adorn my desk. I should make one for work!

The legos or the Zune? Neither really. I have vinyl sticker on the back of my zune to protect it from the legos and the legos have the flat pieces on top so the lego nubs don't scratch the Zune. Win/Win.

I've been thinking about reworking it. The bed the Zune lies in is too tall and I might add a drawer to it so I can store my headphones in it. There could also be some better cord management inside the dock... All these silly ideas dancing in my head because I looked at iPod lego docks... I get what I deserve I guess.

you gonna glue it together so that if something accidently clutters next to it and knocks it over it doesn't smash into all the pieces n ur sitting there, 5 months from now, trying to remember what you did. lol

So this is the fifth version of the lego Zune dock. I didn't glue the legos... I wouldn't be able to screw with the design. I've managed to make the footprint slightly smaller on my desk and I've built in a compartment in the front to put my head phones in. I left the door open so you can see my headphones stashed away. The primary focus of this build has been to reduce the number of bricks in it so my son can get some of his legos back.

For those who want directions. I honestly don't have the time to make them. I can post more pictures if you want to get some ideas. I would suggest looking up iPod lego docks online. The competition has lots of ideas to pilfer.

Hellboy and Sachiel are hanging out to give the dock more geek cred than it deserves...
