Looking to get my hands on one of these for my zune 80, but I'm having some trouble finding one. Mainly only appeals to me because it's wireless. Plug into my car, going to the transmitter, and back into the zune is bulky as hell and annoying, and is my main turnoff based on everyone I know with an Ipod.
I found two on ebay, but can't really find anything else. Anyone have any ideas? Or is this pretty much my only option. |

To tell you the truth the car pack v1 isn't that great at all. The power output is very low so it has a hard time overpowering even the weakest FM signals. I had one and I would always get static if I had a truck drive near me or I was where there was heavy FM signals in the city. That is with the power adapter plugged in, without it plugged in it gets worse. The V2 does a better job but it is attached to the power adapter. Unfortunately I don't know of any wireless methods to do what you want. To get the best audio a direct connection is best. If you still want to use something that is wireless you can always get a cheap FM transmitter that plugs into the earphone port instead. Trust me the v1 car kit isn't worth the money unless you can get it for like 5 bucks. Hope this helps

I know it's pretty ****ty. Mainly what I'm interested in is modding it, as it's been suggested in several places all around. Plus having it still able to charge in the car while broadcasting is a plus. I'm taking a coastal trip in late august. I've heard nothing but good from modding the v1, it's wireless, it can be charged, and direct connection isn't an option; this making this really my best bet.
Though my search has been a bit lackluster. Either nobody has one, or they're trying to get it's original retail price for it. |

I had a hard time finding one too. Luckily I found one for 15+S&H. First thing I did was mod it. My Honda has HORRIBLE Signal receiving strength with the antenna being in the rear window.
I have to have the transmitter plugged in plus I have 1 foot of wire coming from the transmitter that I wrapped around my XM unit to help the signal. Surprisingly it works well after I did that.
