Lightbulb [SOLVED] Battery killer

New to zuneboard but i'll give it a try... okay i killed my last mp3 player by overcharging it (charged while i was sleeping) and ruined the battery so i got a 80 gb zune!! i just got a home a/v setup and it charges the zune while playing music but is this going to kill my battery over time having my zune fully charged and still plugged in while playing? let me know, i'm a little paranoid about murdering something that was 250 bucks.

Well, I've never even heard of an mp3 player that malfunctions due to over charging, but I think you really should be fine as far as your battery is concerned. Also, even if you do run into problems, you could most likely get a replacement from zune, by calling 1877GetZune.

No it wont, Ive got one of those and ive never had any problems charging it over night, here have been threads about this and I think the final ecision was that there is no danger in charging the zune for extended periods of time.

No, I think you'll be okay. I'm guessing your previous MP3 player wasn't of very high quality.

I've left my zune on the A/V dock for days at a time and it's fine. But i got one with the glitched battery when i first got it and only just recently replaced the battery, it played with the old one but battery lasted 3, maybe 4 hours tops.
Got a new battery with simple instructions and tools for 7 bucks(Thank you, Ebay)and now the battery can go for like 2 hours without a noticable difference in the battery bar.

Lucky you; my Zune's battery life has never been more than 3-4 hours just playing music(no videos, photos, 15 backlight delay), and has only gotten worse every time I let it charge from the wall for extended periods of time(Perhaos the Zune software and my dock have ways to avoid this, as I can leave it plugged in to those and not risk an overcharge).
