Default [Review] theDUKE Raw Leather Wallet Case - Incipio

Well, although this definitely isn't my favorite case, heres the review anyways from my article over at Gotzune
Quote:
First Impression’s: To begin with, this case is very similar to the previously reviewed, White Leather Flip Case , so it packs many of the same features, just with a different style. As you can see below, it is a brown leather case(although also available in white leather), with a clean white stitching. What can’t be seen on the outside is the contrasting pink stitching in the interior of the case border, and the interior of the zune slip-in section. The pink stitching looks interesting, but overall this case has a bit more of a “rustic” feel than the white leather flip, and looks a lot like a wallet ( as stated in the name).

Sync cable and Earphones easily accessible.

Features: As stated, this is very similar to the White Leather Flip Case so the features are nearly identical. To begin with there is the flap covering the device to offer protection, and this stays closed using a black button-clip. Within the case you have the slip holding the zune in, which offers a thin plastic screen protector, and has a gap to reveal the touch pad/buttons. This also leaves the top hold switch revealed, as well as the earphone jack, and access is still available for the sync cable to plug in. Unlike the white flip, this has no belt clip on the back.

Button-Clip, screen protector, cover flap, and access to hold switch/touch pad.

Dislikes: As far as dislikes are concerned, I have multiple for this case. To start off, it’s simply not very visually appealing. I can understand where they were going with the pink and brown, but it simply doesn’t look that great. On top of that, the case is a bit large. The leather is not extremely thick, but in many locations it isn’t very tight to the zune device.

The case is not very tight, so it does add quite a bit to the general size.

Verdict: Overall, although this case is not the most visually appealing, or compact, it is still a strong case. It covers nearly the entire zune, while still providing access to all functions. It appears to be very durable as well. Although I don’t believe theDUKE quite matches the Flip, it still provides many of the same functions, with slightly different methods. This case has a unique style, and it’s sheer functionality is worth the $19.99 price tag. For more information on this case, check out MyIncipio.

I kinda agree, it looks a bit ugly. I think people who buy this are sacrificing appearance for "the fact that it is leather". The cover looks a bit stiff so you might have to hold it back while you actually press buttons on the Zune.

Yeah, you do have to hold the leather back when you use the buttons. IT's the same deal with the White flip, Black/aluminum one is the only leather case I've found that you don't' have to.
