Default Zune + AV Home kit = AWESOME!

I bought the AV Home kit (version 1) from Buy.com for a whopping $17.08 (that even includes shipping)!

You get the zune dock (in a black chrome look which I think is more attractive than the newer version 2 matt black dock), extra sync cable, AC adaptor, and a remote control.

This allows me to connect my Zune 8 directly to my AV system (its sitting under my TV) and the results are spectacular. My entire library of songs is available through my Onkyo 85 watt per channel + powered subwoofer system and accessible across the room via remote.

When I am hanging out on my couch with my receiver set to 5 channel surround sound the listening experience is awesome. Plus, my Zune’s songs fill my entire townhome, not just my earphones

I highly recommend this very economical zune kit, however, its video out is only composite, not component like the version 2. So, if you want component out video for your zune 30/80 get the AV pack version 2. But if you are a flash zuner with no video out like me, the AV pack version 1 is perfect and cheap.

Ooh nice living room set up and what a beautiful big tv! =P.

But yeah gratz on the av kit, I bought it too from the buy.com deal for the same price you bought yours. Probably the best zune accessory deal so far. I love the remote that come with this av kit! It's got a double shot feature on it, and is magnetic! Also if you look closely at the sync cable that comes with the kit, it also got the whole signature zune double shot feature aswell.

Heh, it's so small compared to everything in your living room.

Another question, does your Zune 4 have any shield or anything protecting it? I can't tell.

Actually, it's a Zune 8 but no it does not have a shield. However, I just ordered a zunecentive crystal case. So, in time it will be protected ; )

that's really quite nice, very amazing. by the way, the original Xbox was one of the very first game systems to include support for HDTV outputs via component a/v cables.
