Default Any External Batteries for the Zune that I can use?

From my "google" research the TunePower will extend your zune's battery life by 6-12 hours. Depending on your zune's settings, like backlight brightness, wireless setting, etc... the total amount of your zune's battery may differ to how you use your zune. Like if your scrolling through it constantly, or if your watching a vid can make a difference.
But if you really want to extend your battery life with out TunePower then I suggest these settings.
Wireless: Off
Backlight: 5 Seconds(1 seconds is even better, but I prefer 5)
Brightness: Low
Sounds: off
Touch: off(optional if you have a gen1 zune then you won't have this option)

This will definently help preserve your zunes battery life.
Hope this helps.

There is a combination AC charger/portable battery device called the Music Power Encore by a company called Powerline. I have one and it works well. Supposedly it hold enough charge to recharge the Zune once per charge of the battery. I use it mostly as an AC charger since it was cheaper than the Zune brand charger.

The company has a web site, and Amazon sells the devices.

I've seen several like that for the iPod. I'm sure there's one for Zune. Makes me think of the iPod/Phone charging stations being put in airports.

not possible.. unless the sponsors give them it.. or support us... you have to buy it yourself mainly for those... too expensive.. lol

Edit: heres something you might be talking about also.. it was $1 kit at radioshack for ipod shuffle.. but this came in handy.. lol.. battery powered charger for usb i guess.. works for a while.. won't last long though

Battery life won't be an issue until it's not an issue : p. Batteries are one area I'm excited about in terms of future development. I hate having to even worry about them.

Why don't you make your own? 4xAA rechargable batteries. 40 hours more battery life for 5$.

There's a portable zune charger in the Hack and MoD section.

When you make that charger, you'll need to apply my mod to yobailey's instruction which is to add a 15Kohm resister.
