[SOLVED] KIQ clear hard case review?

I searched first for "KIQ" (no matches) and "hard case" (lots of matches) and didn't see the KIQ brand listed or mentioned, but I didn't do an exhaustive read-through of every post on "hard case".

So I bought this KIQ clear case but it hasn't arrived yet. Anyone got any feedback? It was pretty cheap ($11 with shipping) and looks fairly durable. They also have different colors (smoke, pink, blue, green, and clear) like the elite case. I found this site by googling "Zune 80GB clear hard case", but have never patronized this storefront before. They use google checkout, which makes me feel a little safer.




Once I get enough $zB, I'm gonna get the elite one, but for now...anyone got any experience with the KIQ?

I will receive it in a few days and I'll post a review, if that's ok. I just wondered if anyone else had it, liked it, heard anything about it. . .it seems kinda suspicious for $8. But like I said, I only need it til I can upgrade.

Yeah I got this one in smoke, but I don't use it.
1.The case is incredibly hard to open!!!
2.The hold switch is hard to access.
3. Adds a little bit more bulk unlike other cases like the zuneone elite crystal cases. By the way zune elite crystal case adds bulk too but this kiq case adds more.
But besides that everything else is fine.

The sides of it where those inward hole things are making it kind of ugly.. I'd rather have something else.

But still, it's a good case in terms of how protected your Zune will be when you get it.

The elite case sells for $12. That isn't a whole lot more.

I actually like the inward hole things, a black zune 80 + a smoke colored kiq case looks sweet. The inward hole things on the side add grip, well gives you a better grip on your zune. The back inward hole things, add friction/grip. So for example it wont slide off a angled surface as easily. But the only flaw with the whole extra grip thing is it makes your zune even bulkier. And to some people size/bulk means a lot.

I have one and it is extremely hard to take it off when you have it on your zune. Other than that it's a pretty good case.

Don't worry,for that price, i think it's worth the try.

Personally i don't like hard cases that much. i know they protect well against scratches but i'm more concerned about fall out protection.

I agree with the others, this case is more difficult to take off compared to the Zuneone crystal case and it does not come with an armband (like the Zuneone does). But all in all, it is a nice case and allows for a nice glossy finish on the zune 80 (in smoke, crystal, blue, or other colors).

I have one on my Zune right now, and I had to take a butter knife i pry it off, im only using it again now until i can buy a new one. It's extremely hard to get off once it's on, but it does protect it quite nicely.
