Like I said, I have the Zune Premiums and hey are alot better, I also have a nice high quality Wireless with awesome bass and a neat little surround sound feature and a nice wrap around pair from woot that has really good quality, but I don't like as much since it isn't earbuds.
The Skullcandy aren't my favorite but the audio quality isn't terrible, the worst thing is that they make you hear yourself breath and stuff way too much, they're too much like earplugs and they're tempermental, depending on how they are in your ear they sound really different. That may be your problem, if they're not in your ear just right they sound terrible.
