I think the magnet is neodydium or something like that. At least that's what the sales people told me in China.

This pair of earphone has metal drum and waterresistant. LOL.. I dropped in my sink fulll of water. I let it dry and it still work like new.

I got mine a while ago, I don't know if it was a faulty unit or what, but they sound really muted - like the highs are turned way down and the mids are way up. Cool look, and they're really comfortable, but spring for the other set on zuneone instead, they're a lot better, or just stick with the premium ones that come with the 80.

I think you did get a faulty unit. the n-37's high should sound muted. the high is about as much as the stock zune 30 earphone.

I guess it all depends on what you've listened to/used in the past. I have a pair os Sennheiser HD212Pro's that are nice and these Phillips buds don't come anywhere close to sounding almost as good as these. I'd much rather listen to my Koss Sparkplugz or even better, the Zune Premium buds than to suffer with these things.
