I just got a brand new zune originals with fancy shmancy artwork on the back. I really like silicone cases, but I can't bear to cover up the back panel. Are there any cases out there with back cut outs? I mean, I only really need corner coverage, right?
You are a great moderator I see in almost every thread i read and post in that you are on top of things, giving your opinion, warnings, and advice to others! Keep it up CameleonMK!

Yeah I've looked around at most of them and even the ones that are "clear" wouldn't show the back I think. The art on the back is really just sort of brushed into the metal. How bad do you think it would be to just cut out the armband bit of one of the zuneone.com silicones? I'm being terribly fussy, I realize.
Hmm, If you just want corner protection I guess you could just take an Exacto blade to a silicon case. But then you risk the metal on the back getting scratched up. I say go with a crystal clear case.
If, however, you must have a silicone one this could work: After you perform the surgery on it to remove the back, put a cut to size screen protector over the back for protection (get a iphone or PSP one and trim it down).
Thanks for all the ideas. I've decided to go with a full-body invisible shield, and then I'm going to *try* to knit a case for it. If doesn't work out I think I'll doctor one of the silicone ones. Hard plastic cases just aren't my cup of tea, although the clear crystal ones are nice. However, if I can alter a pattern for the zune 80, I'll post it
I have to say, you people are the most helpful bunch I've come across.
Lol. Yeah, went ahead on the shield. How's shipping time usually? Also got a hands free fm trans/charger and some fishy smart wraps from dealextreme.com for like 15 bucks or so, and some sweet DS stuff. *FREE* Shipping from hong kong so it'll be a while til it arrives, but they had good reviews on resellerratings.com, in case anyone was interested. Don't know if anyone has had any trouble with them before. I just couldn't help myself.
And sorry on the double post. It's a terrible habit.

Reason: NO double posting
tell me how the invisible shield is..Im thinking about getting one.
The invisible shield i have is actually pretty nice. If you do everything correct you should end up with no dust or bubbles. Unfortuantly i some dust under mine and reapplied it. The one bad thing is they dont give you enough liquid and the spray bottle i got only sprayed if you had it exactly right. Oh and it does come off easily and leaves no sticky spots.
