Default Headphones

I am considering getting a good pair of headphones, so I can have a bit of variety. Then, I could either use some low profile, portable in-ear type ear buds, or some good quality headphones for, possibly, better sound. What are some good pairs/brands. I probably wont pay any more than like $100-$120.
Note: Do not suggest Skull Candy. I do not doubt them, it is just that they are becoming a fad at my school. I refuse to conform to that.

It depends, do you want in ear ones or big noise cancelling ones?

I'd go with anything that has decent bass, crisp sound and a good fit (on the ear). This is all on your own opinion so go to the shops and check some out.

I want some good headphones. I don't know what are some good ones. I'm not sure where to start. I will have to check amazon or something to see what is out there, I guess.

Philips SHE8500 or SHE9500. I use the 8500 and my friend has the 9500, they are both great sounding. And pretty cheap considering you price range.

V-Moda vibe, great reviews everywhere about these. A little more expensive than the two philips. But they look worth it for the craftsmanship. http://www.v-moda.com/collection/modaphones/vibe.aspx

Although I would love some V-moda vibes, they are not what I am looking for. I am looking for good sound isolating headphones that fit over the ears. I want some good bass and great sound. Hopefully the best that I can get for around $100

It's kind of hard to tell you what will sound good to you so instead of doing that I'll suggest that you listen to some Denon headphones. I had a pair back in the day that cost me $99 and they were some awesome sounding headphones, I hate that I don't have them anymore and don't even know what happened to them. How about if you hit up some stores and listen to what they have and go from there?

Checkout pretty much any closed sennheisers...

and check out headphone.com for reviews or ordering.

May I suggest shure se110? MSRP: $119

http://www.shure.com/PersonalAudio/P...dels/index.htm

It's the cheapest headphone the company makes. They're better than 99% of consumer headphones.

Some pretty good headphones that i have are skullcandys. They are the kind that stick into your ear. They are great and only like 15 dollars in radioshack or bestbuy

^ He wants headphones, not ear buds

I'd suggest a bose, or if they're a little pricey try a creative product

What model? The Ink'd buds are horrible, I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy

For headphones, just go into a store and look for an expensive looking pair and make sure it has noise-cancelling.

Those will work really good.

When you shop for an earphone, you'll have to understand these marketing tricks. The real noise cancelling earphones usually cost over $100 MSRP. When you buy a real noise cancelling earphones, avoid the ones that has these words on its packaging: noise isolating, passive noise cancelling.

I agree with the Sennheiser recommendations - Sennheisers rock. They don't make a single bad set of cans. Grados are good too, as are AKGs (though they tend to be a bit pricier).

Stay away from Bose. No matter what people say, they're not worth it and you can do much better.

WOW.. i still remember the Bose commercials that used to play non-stop on cable commercials. I guess their commercial fooled lots of people.
