Default Thoughts on holder to use in your car for Zune.

I would appreciate any thoughts on a good holder to buy use with a zune while driving. I have done some looking a there seems to be a fairly limited amount of items out there to do this (at least the better quality one's)

I'm going to post a couple of links below if any one has either of these or has any opinions on these please post. Or if you have another brand you like post, or a brand to definitly not get post. I've been leaning towards one that fastens onto your vents ( I don't know whether this is good idea or not.)

Gomadic - This one looks like you can swivel it horizontally or vertically. $24.95 (i thought i could post links guess not just do a search)

This one below (from Ram Industries) looks pretty good but is a windshield mount and more expensive about $42.

That's a great question. I've seen ones that connect to the car vents, but I'd love to have one I could use with the charger in conjuction with the cigarette lighter.

Has anyone seen 1 like this?

I just sit it in my lap. My car doesn't have much console space and my air vents are precious. So, if I have a free one I'll stick in in the armrest cup holder or just sit it in my lap so it's right there when I need to change the song.

You could try one of those stick pads that go on your dashboard?

I think I have the exact combination you need, it just happens to be the very setup I use in my work van and I love it.

Scosche IUH35

Scosche USB12V2

I got these items at WalMart, $9.86 for the holder, $4.86 for the charger, or maybe it was the other way around, but I know I got out of there and paid just a hair over $15 for the setup.

Most of the universal holders I've seen are too wide for the ZUne 4/8.

Anyone seen 1 that would fit them???

I'd like 1 for the vent

These things are awesome. I got mine at OfficeMax. it's just a rubberized pad that you stick to your dash and it grips almost anything. It's similar in texture to a rubber jar opener or those non-slide cabinet shelf covers.

A Zune 8 is roughly the size of a nano, right? If so, I'll take my nano with me when I head back to work and I'll see if my holder will work with it. I have the one pictured above.

That's a good thought. I believe they are about the same size....1.5" wide. I guess I just block all things iPod from my mind. I'll see if I can do a search on 'old' iPod nano holders.

Thanks!!!

Good news. The holder I have and posted a pic of above, it holds my nano securely! IIRC, the Zune 8 is a hair wider than the nano so you'll be good to go. Here's a pic of it today:

Again, it was $9 and some change at WalMart.
