Default Zune Premium Earbuds

Has anyone tried these? I've heard some people say it wasn't worth the money but I'd like to hear your opinions about it. I'm trying to figure out whether to buy it or not and what makes it harder is that the site doesn't come with the earbud's statistics.

I looked EVERYWHERE for these things when I first bought my Zune and couldn't find them anywhere except eBay, and even then, as you said, no figures on the product. I still to this day haven't seen them in person. I wound up buying a pair of Shure E2C earbuds... They're a little pricey and don't have the greatest bass response, but the sound quality is immaculate.

I got a pair in my travel pack. They're really awesome and I recommend getting them.

Everything sounds superior and you don't have to have your volume pumped because it's pretty much like having earplugs with little speakers in them.

They're badass.

I've been thinking about picking a pear of these up.

However, are they really worth the $40? I wish there was a way I could try 'em out before buying. Maybe if I ask a store employee really nicely..

They're awesome, like I state in my Travel Pack review.

They seem to have higher quality than the included earbuds, and also, outside noise is almost nonexistent when you use them.

I'd say they're worth the $40, if you value the noise cancellation and advanced quality. I got them in the Travel Pack though, so I believe I saved a few dollars buying everything as a whole.

i got the skullcandy earbuds which is pretty much the same thing. they are being sold right with the zune stuff now.

i like them for the same reason JeremyMiller said, you dont have to turn the volume up at all, because the music is pretty much right there inside your ear. plus, the sound quality is beautiful. its almost as good as the studio headphones i used to use.

for some reason ear buds don't work too well with me ears. they never stay in my left ear(seem to stay in right ear tho) and end up hurting after a while. strange. =\ i'm not gonna spend $40 unless i can test them out for a while.

For me, its pretty much the exact opposite from the above two posters.

Headphones hurt my ears and always like to slide off my head. Ear buds, however, are great! However, I find myself turning into an audiophile, so I may have to pick these up.

I went to my local Best Buy and all they had for the Zune was the Zune, the Power pack, and the DLO leather case. I've been searching for the case so I got it, but I was sad they didn't have the headphones, or I would have bought them.

I got the premium ones from xmas and its a huge improvement over the stock earbuds, however the "in ear" style for me is taking some getting used to as i have never had that style before. Sound quality is awesome, bass is deep but not overpowering, and the highs are not earpiercingly loud. The noise reduction is great unless something taps on the cable then you hear the taps quite well. The smallest adapter fits my ear but doesnt like staying in place if im moving around a lot.

You can't really think of them as 'earbuds' because they aren't.

Think of it this way
Can you use earplugs at all? The Answer is probably yes. Now, what if you had 3 different sizes to choose from? Chances are, you'd be able to find some that would work in your ears. Even if you have an extremely strange case of "LOLZ MY EAR CANALS ARE DIFFERENT SIZES" you'd be able to put two different sizes on each little speaker.

So, can you use earplugs? Of course! Well, it's just like that with little wires sticking out.
They really don't compare with Earbuds at all.

Just bought these today.

All I can say is WOW! Very high quality, and you can feel the pop of the bass, unlike the standard ones.

Noise canceling = awesome. I can't hear the roar of my computer fans or my typing at all.

I had to use the smallest size otherwise they would want to pop out. You MUST find the right size, or they won't work that well. For example, the ones that come on them were just a little too big. I had to turn the sound up to about 14 to be able to hear it at normal volume. Now, with the right size, I have it sitting at 6 and it sounds pretty loud, just how I like it

Now the real test is Monday during my computer wasteoftime (can't call it a class if you could easily teach it!) when the people next to me keep complaining how the white man is keeping them down along with who got who pregnant! Gonna <3 my headphones then!

I gave my pair of Etymoic ER-6i to my little sister (Ice box owner) and I first picked up the Sony MDR-XD400 over the ear headphones. Well they were good for home use but traveling with them was a pain in the neck literally as it cut my neck movement down. Ordered a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 Pros and love them. Great for travel and home use. I can wear them around my neck as a pair of mini speakers or wear them over my ears and cut out all the noise around me. I don't recommend this for everyone as different people like different types of headphones. I just got tired of In Ear Monitors, good sound quality but painful for me over time.

I know there is all a pair of Sennheiser MX-100 (?) headphones that were designed for travel use and are on the ear ones (I think). Good for DAP use.
