Default Synching problem

hey guys, i currently have the zune 8g.
anyways i recently opened my zune window, and i get a message telling me that there is a software update....so i go ahead with the update. so today i plug in my zune and i get a message that the zune software has a device update as well. so i go ahead with that. the zune 8 g finished doing its thing for an update.

so now when i plug my zune into my computer it will turn my zune window on automatically and on the screen of the zune says its connected.

how ever when i look at my zune window on my computer, it tells me that i have "to check sync status, connect your zune".

what is going wrong? my zune 8 g is no longer syncing to my computer and i don't know how to get it to.

try plugging your zune in after you open the zune software. One of the big issues with updates on zune is the fact that it no longer is attached to the computer. Unless, does your zune software still show the zune device, even know its no connected?
