So, I have been using the new Zune80 that I bought two weeks back happily and yesterday night I noticed that the zune pad is stuck..only the center button works and I was stuck in music...And none of the reset works because all the resets need either the top button or the bottom one. I tried various things but nothing worked..if it had a user replacable battery, I could have just yanked it out and restarted the device...and didn't have the patience to let it discharge...so just returned it back to Walmart and bought another Zune 80g and you know what my wireless sync works with the new one..it never worked with the old one...
But do any one of you folks have come across the problem of zune pad getting stuck ? Any solutions for that ?

You could have let the battery die, then returned it. But returning it seams like it was much easier.
The Zune 80(99%sure) does have a user replaceable battery, but that would void your warranty, and nobody seems to be selling the batteries.

I thought of doing that...but since it was only 2 weeks old, i didn't want to waste time doing it...may be if the new zune does that after 90 days, when I no longer can return it back, probably will try that before sending it to MS. I am hopeful because that this problem doesn't seem to common and I might have just been unlucky...
Well, anyways I have noted down the lot no of the earlier device. It was 749 (02/2008). I probably wouldn't buy any device in the same lot...may be all of them have the same problem !!
