changing artist on a zune 4

ok i have had my zune [4gb] for about 2 months and i cant seem to change the artist name.

i have songs under "unknown artist" and "various artist" and i dont know how to make it change to the proper artist.

anyone have any suggestions?

Go to My Computer, then find your music you want to change. Then change the artist manually.

Or use any song editor such as Wmp11 or MP3Tag and change the artist
Also, you will want to change the album artist to the artist you want it to display or you could see the artist in the "Various Artist" by going to "Settings" on the zune device, go to "Music", go to "Artist" and choose "Song and Album" and you should see the artist from the "various artist"

Try changing the album artist. I think that the zune software goes by that. Just go click "list" on your music menu towards the right, and right click on the top bar that says Song, Artist, Album, Genre. Click "Choose Columns" then check Album Artist. Then click on Album artist in the bar to sort the songs by Album Artist, and change the ones necessary, and that should do it.

To do that you must install this Zune Software Customizer

use the tagger in my sig, it looks up your files on the internet, you dont have to do any work

Firstly, remove your songs from the Zune software. Then label them and then re-add them because most people find that if you leave them in the Zune software it doesnt pick up the changes.

Also post in help next time please.

yeah in my scenario you HAVE to remove them first
