When you sync your Zune, it's suppost to add or delete all your content to sync up with your collection, right? Then why doesn't mine do that? and the only way I can delete music on my zune is through the device music collection. Is all this normal? It seems like something's wrong with it, maybe the settings?

make sure you are actually signed in when you are syncing up the Zune. check your settings to make sure this is set to happen.
i personally enjoy not having things sync up because sometimes i want to delete something off my computer but keep it on the Zune (e.g. large videos, full seasons of TV shows, Zune specific pictures like the buttons configuration). as far as not being able to delete stuff until you are in the Zune software...its unfortunately true. you cant delete songs or vids directly from the Zune (hey, MSoft, plz fix this with upcoming updates). you can choose to subscribe/unsubscribe to podcasts directly from the Zune, but thats all i can see as far as changing data. rock on

You mean sign in to your account? I never made one. I don't see how that would effect your sync. I have to drag and drop the library into the sync icon to add stuff. It's no big deal, It just seems the sync should take care of that. I see that if I have the Zune plugged in while I add stuff it syncs right away and adds it, but if I add stuff then plug it in, it'll say it's syncing but when I look on the device there's nothing new on it. It's strange

i know it shouldnt affect your syncing if you sign in, but i know i dont sign in anymore and i dont have problems with the syncing (only because i didnt want it to).
other than that, i would suggest keeping that thing plugged in whenever you want to sync stuff up. i'm sure one of the pro dudes can help you out on here since I seem to be a bit incompetent at the moment. hehehe. happy zuning!
