I've never edited tags before and I need some help here. What is it exactly that needs to be fixed and why? The problem I see now after having synched my Zune for the first time is that for example, on my pc hd, I have a Robert Plant mix I put together from several different albums and in Music and WMP11, everthing is together in one album called Robert Plant Mix and is easy to manage, but the Zune has now broken everything apart so that instead of one RPM album in a certain order, it shows five different RP albums all in a different order. The same for mix albums I've done from several different artists. What and how do I tag to fix this? Can someone recommend a simple tagging tool? I checked out Mp3tag but it was beyond me, though it might have helped to know what it was I was trying to do exactly.
Thanks!!!!! ![]() |

Hey Wycked,
A lot of my albums are obscure World music that are probably not going to be available through a search. Many of these albums don't have all of the songs or are in a different order. A good deal of my albums in general are "mixes" I put together from one artist but several albums and in different orders...plus mixes of various artists. It doesn't seem that Picard would be helpful for this the way I understand it. What is it exactly that I need to edit? Tag? File Name? Path? Artist? I don't really know what it is I need to do to make this work for what I want. Thanks! |

I've used a program called tag runner. I does cost a little but it works great. The only problem that I saw was that with live albums or greatest hits albums it liked to edit the track information to reflect the album that the song originally appeared on. However, it fixed 99% of my tags to include adding album art. I did have to go back through and fix a few things but all in all it worked great.
