Convert the videos using a third party converter rather than the Zune software. If you want to stick with the Zune Software go to your Task Manager and set the Zune Encoder to High or Real Time Priority.

Wait so you converted your movie with Cucusoft converter software. Then tried to sync that newly converted movie with your zune through the zune software. And it still says converting while it syncs through the software....

If thats the case then you probably chose the wrong format to convert your movie to. Because the movie should just sync to your zune and not have to be converted first in the software. Make sure you either convert your movie to .wma or .mp4 But yeah try converting your movie again and try to sync it again afterwards.

you know i have noticed that even if you use another program to convert to wmv the zune sw will still "convert" the already converted videos but heres the kicker i had videos that were previously converted for my zune by the zune software get "converted" again when i reinstalled the zune software...and NOTHING was different about the file! my 30 and my 80 do that...actually my 30 is a 60 now. but yeah the zune software just converts everything

...its funny when you think about it...the software doesnt trust you to convert the videos correctly but...it renames your videos the wrong titles and ascociates your music into the wrong folders....go figure!

Really? My Sync is really fast, and i use the A-plus Video Converter from that Giveawayoftheday and it works fine...

Try reinstalling the software, see if that helps, because my friend with his Zune 80 was syncing slow, he tried reinstalling and worked fine after that...

This method only decrease the converting slightly. It makes your computer extrememly unresponsive.

"you know i have noticed that even if you use another program to convert to wmv the zune sw will still "convert" the already converted videos but heres the kicker i had videos that were previously converted for my zune by the zune software get "converted" again when i reinstalled the zune software...and NOTHING was different about the file! my 30 and my 80 do that...actually my 30 is a 60 now. but yeah the zune software just converts everything

This is not true at all. In your case, it's absolutely normal. LIke you said, nothing was different about your file. The original file was not converted, thus when you install the zune software and sync to another zune, the zune software will convert it again. If you do the converting right, the zune software will not convert the videos.

"I'm having the same thing.. video's take SO long to get synced up... I already have em as .mp4's and they still are being converted. It's insanely slow. "

The zune doesn't support every kind of .mp4's. .Mp4 is a container which can contain many kinds of codec. Also zune can only support maximum of 2.5mBit/s mpeg4 videos with simple complexity decoding.

I used to have the same problem, also make sure that the resolution you convert to is 320x240

Try using one of the WMV converters in my signature, they are all freeware.

You must be doing something wrong, it does not rename videos, try editing your metadata.
