[SOLVED] Unresponsive Sync

Hello there, I am new here. Hi. Yeah.

I got my Zune 80 fairly recently, so far it has been a pretty good device. I really like the hardware, but not the software so much. I have synced media several times before, but 90% of the time, it doesn't work.

Now whenever I try to sync the Zune, It uploads 2 or 3 songs and then it gives me this error:

I am still new to this device, but I looked online and have tried erasing all, tried different USB ports, etc.

Why is this and how do I fix it? Thanks!

Try looking for zAlternator or whatever that program is.. if zune software don't work.. then use that program to change it to sync with window media player or some other programs.

I downloaded winamp so I could use that, but the Zune never showed up in the 'portables' section. I couldn't really tell if Zalternator was working. I do really like winamp better than zune though.

EDIT: Now it shows up as 'loading Zune..' but isn't seeming to change.

EDIT AGAIN: I also tried it in MediaMonkey, it doesn't seem to sync at all.

Did you unlock it correctly?(The zune must say "syncing" on the screen after you end the zune.exe process)
Also make sure you change the zalternator to generic WMP

Even if you get mediamonkey to pick it up, you're going to have to sync with the Zune program first.

Try a hard reset: http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/zun...binations.html

Yeah, I definitely killed the process while it was syncing. It showed 'syncing' when the program wasn't running. I also am sure I set ZAlternator to Generic WMP. I will try it again though...

I will try a hard reset as soon as I get a chance to. At the moment I don't have it, but thanks for the responses. This board has a very good community of people. Thanks for trying to help me. I will report back soon about what happened with the reset.

I was getting that same error code. I changed the usb port I was using and haven't had the problem since.
