can someone explain to me what is zune social and podcast all about. do i have to pay to get them or just create an account

Just create an account.

The zune social is like social networking (e.g myspace) you can check out what people listen to and discuss similar music styles with friends.

Podcasts are video/audio that are free, there normally "shows" so you'll get new ones each week.
