I use WinAvi to convert them to a 320x240 .wmv, then i edit the meta data with tigotago, then sync them to the device with the zune software.

either use WinAVI as a converter... convert it into mp4 or wmv.. (wmv sometime makes you zune software dies while mp4 always works for me)... there are 2 types of WinAVI... one is called WinAVI 8.0 or something... and other is WinAVI Ipod/PSP/MP4 converter... or you can just go get a free software called SUPER.. but i didn't like it.. just go buy it or find a key..

Yes, in other words, you cannot add avi to your zune. Just convert like everyone else said in different ways.

Somtimes, you might be able to change the extension from .avi to .mp4. This only works if your .avi container uses mpeg4video + aac audio codecs.

This works just like changing .vob to .mpg.
