You can keep an eye out @rapidrepair.com
You might try calling Zune Support, but the actual screen is not covered.

Microsoft's warranty for zune's doesn't cover cosmetic damage like a cracked screen.. well at least the outer part.. the glass part. But yeah ezra how long has he had his zune, because like most stores you get 30 day money back guarantee, so if he has only had it for less than 30 days. I suggest he goes return it. Or he can try and fix it himself...which I highly suggest not to do. But yeah good luck, not much he can do at this point..

Or replace the glass with plexiglass or some sort of easily workable material that's see through. Remember to sandwhich a polarized film between the lcd and the new glass/plexglass screen so there won't be any glare. Then stick a invisible sheild to secure the replacement glass/plexglass screen.

But yeah ezra the invisible shield will probably hide the crack. Because the invisible shield is a durable material after it dries for 24 hours after installation it will mold it self in side cracks.. depending on how deep or bad this crack is you might not even recognize their was a crack on your friends screen with the invisible shield gone. But yeah I highly suggest the invisible shield it will protect your friends screen from future scratches and cracks and semi-hide the already crack in the screen. Heres a link to a discounted price invisible shield, now this 50% off deal may not last forever. So tell you friend about it soon..http://www.invisibleshield.com/mp3-p...ft/zune-80.php They also gots vid's on the site showing the strength and protection the shield will give, so yeah hope this solved your problem. ![]()

I cracked the glass on mine Monday morning. I called Zune only to have them tell me they don't fix that. Not they don't fix it under warranty....they DON'T repair glass. I was thoroughly pissed. They couldn't even point in the direction of a repair depot. As far as I know, the whole front bezel will need to be replaced...which sucks cuz the squircle is permanently attached. Perhaps that is why they wont fix it. I'm keeping my eye on eBay for a broken Zune 80 for parts.
