Default 80gbZune restarting randomly

I have an 80gb and it will restart randomly all the time. In the middle of a song, or while i'm watching a video. It doesnt matter what i'm doing it will just turn off and automatically turn itself back on.

Any suggestions or ideas as to why this is happening?

I just bought zune80 today, charged it up, put music on it and my first listen was greeted with the same sheet. WTF!!!! I just traded my broken 30 zune in and got this and was so excited. Not only that but I had to drive 45 fing minutes to a best buy that had it because its sold out at all the close best buys. This sucks. Please help us. I love my zune and I just want it to fing work. Peace.

I did the hard reset, and nothing. the only thing to do is send it it for them to fix or give u a new one.

IMHO, thats all u can do...

Does it really take 6 weeks to get a new one?

I don't have a zune, so I woudln't know.. but some people seem to think it's static electricity that resets em... any chance this could have affected yours?

A Hard Rese does not solve this neither does relaoding the firmware MS is looking into the problem and it is either one of 3 things, a build up of static around the device which will trigger and auto reset
a faulty headphone jack
a glitch in the firmware effecting some models of the zunes but not all

If a hard reset didn't work just send it in to Microsoft all you can really do if you don't got warranty from the store you bought it from. But yeah the whole "how long it takes to get it back thing" it varies from people to people and their problems. Read some stories of people getting theirs in after 3 months of waiting, other got it back in just 2 weeks. But yeah anyways it'll be all worth it because you'll have a new working zune in the end. Good luck and Happy Zune-ing.
