How to convert bmp pictures to jpg format ?

I have an 80 Gb Zune and want to take some pictures off of my computer and sync them to the Zune. I have already done this before in fact it happened automatically because apparently they were already in jpg format.

I have some new ones that are bmp format and if i am correct, Zune will not allow bmp format to sync as I have already tried it.

What do I need to do in order to convert my pictures from bmp to jpg and get them on my Zune ??

u can open them in paint or any picture viewer and resave them as jpg
or
change the file extension to .jpg
open windows explorer to go Tool, go to folder options, go to view, and then uncheck, hide extension
and then rename ur picture from "pic.bmp" to "pic.jpg"

Thanks much for the response,, right now all of my pictures are opened via NERO software, I guess I am going to have to change the program that opens my pictures.. I will give the file extension change a shot.
