Well it's fixed for the most part, the only problem I have is the Various Artists, just need to figure that one out.
I fixed the problem by using Mp3Tag, sorting all the artsits, and taking any album that was blank, and giving it the album name "none", it added all of my artists and pretty much solved the problem. Now for the various artists.... |

Quote:
So, if you have several albums by an artist, and a couple of tracks by them on Now That's What I Call Music (Or whatever), selecting their name in the software will only show the tracks on their albums - their tracks on NTWICM will probably appear under various artists. The Firmware on the Zune is a bit smarter though, and selecting their name will show all their albums, followed by individual tracks by them on compilation albums. An example of the current problem: There is one Killswitch Engage song that does not appear under the Killswitch Engage artist, the song This Fire Burns keeps going under various artists, even though I changed it's album to one of Killswitches Albums.
The song is also under the same directory, and in the same folder as all of the other killswitch songs, yet it still defaults to various artists. How can I get this song to appear under the Killswitch Artist? |

You could try doing this:
http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/gen...ollection.html Zune doesn't care about the Artist or folder when it comes to albums, only the Album title and Album Artist. If the Album Artist tags on the album are predominantly "Killswitch" but for whatever reason one of them is "Various Artists" then Zune will think it's two albums. ![]() |

Well, everything seems to be running in order now, all it took was an hour or so fiddling with Zune.
Making sure each and every artist had an album labeled, and that the Artist and Album Artist matched seemed to fix all of my problems. It was a pain in the butt to go through all of that at once, but it should be easy to maintain from now on I guess, thanks for all the help guys. |
