Alright, I need help... I had probably about 15 full length dvd's on my zune 30 and a small selection of shorts... I just bought a zune 80 and all of my songs updated just fine, but only like, 1 of my movies synced correctly. Every other one shows "This file is missing or cannot be played."
Anyone care to take a stab at this? They're still on my computer, and I didn't change anything about them except the zune 30 to the zune 80. WTF is wrong with my zune? ![]() |

try to do a reset on zune.. to see if that's the problem not allowing you to sync the videos.. or if you want to refresh the whole entire software, mainily just delete everything on the zune software, DO NOT LET zune monitor your files, then reinsert all files by drag and drop

To remove the detection of your files in the Zune Software, take of all the monitored folders, then readd them.
Do a hard reset on your Zune. And don't forget to restart. Then try syncing again.

Try not to double post.
Did you reinstall the software?

Alright...
I got the word from Microsoft that it was a "Manufacturer defect" so I took it back to Wal-Mart(had to go to 3 btw) and when I finally took one home, I had the same issue. Thus, I am left with this, it is not the Zune, it must clearly be my videos, and therefore I am pleading with you guys, help me: I had a few videos work. A couple of them were Youtube Videos and one of them was Army of Darkness... Now the only logical difference I can find is that: A)The Youtube Videos were obviously much smaller. B) Army of Darkness was slightly different in that, it was the first video I ever loaded onto my 30g, so I didn't know about resolution sizes at that time. I had converted all the other MP4's to 320 x 240 so they would work after this, but Army of Darkness was still at it's original size, and never changed. It was original video resolution.(I'm assuming it just must have been crappy quality to begin with) At this point, I assume that I'm just going to have to try to change the video's resolution, their sizes, or their file type... something that will affect their ability to sync. I'm headed to bed now, and will be back on tomorrow night. If you guys have any advice or support, I would love it. I can't think of a reason to have an 80g Zune, if I can't have videos on it, because there is no way in hell that I can ever fill that much room with music alone. Please, I pray that you guys can beat the genius' at Microsoft and Wal-Mart and offer some actual Tech Support. =BRPunk= ![]() |

At least, that's what I last heard about this. It might've changed, but I doubt it.

Out of curiosity, does anyone think that perhaps zAlternator might work? Like syncing using WMP or Itunes or something instead? I'm running out of idea's here, and if I can't figure it out, I'm taking my 80 back.

Try doing a hard reset( deletes software+firmware), Running UnZoone, then CCleaner, then reinstalling and resynching.

Just in case you don't know how to use it, here's the steps to drag and drop. 1)Plug in your zune 2) Open up zune software 3) Double click zune icon in "my computer" 4) Drag and drop your stuff into the zune folder. 5) Close everything and unplug your zune. Also, the zalternator will work. Try using windows media player to sync your music. Last edited by jackluo923 : 02-16-2008 at 02:17 PM. ![]() |
