Default Zune 80 Podcast Multiples?

Why does my Zune 80 have, like, 8 copies of every podcast episode in it? On the Zune software on my comp., it just lists them once, both in my collection and on my device, but when I'm actually scrolling through on the 80, there are multiples. I'm not kidding, I "officially" have 7 episodes of Attack of the Show on there, but my 80 says "68 episodes." After I watch one, all copies of it go dim, but it's a pain to look for stuff this way!

Try running the media reset tool.

I had the same problem. I ran the media reset tool and everything seemed to work fine after that. (though I had to resubscribe to all my podcasts.)

Question

Sorry for taking forever to respond. By "media reset tool," are you referring to the "erase all content" or "forget this device" options in device settings? Or do you mean cancelling podcast subscriptions and signing up again? I think I've done the second before, but it's still doing it.

Also, (and this is a new one, I think) I've noticed just now that some of the podcasts are now listing duplicates in the Zune software on my pc. Probably the same fix for both instances?

I have the same issue. In the Zune software when I look at the device I see the individual podcasts listed, but when disconnected I have dupes of most of the podcasts on the device itself.

Everything works, but it's annoying.

How is it that you suggest restoring the firmware? Where is this media reset tool? When I first installed the software it installed and updated the firmware before I did anything else.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Anybody? Somebody?

Help!

I ran the "media reset tool" and then went through the pain of syncing again, which took all day, and I still have dupes on the device.

I didn't clear the Zune itself. Do I have to do this? Do I do the whole thing including firmware? (That makes me nervous...)

Please help, I don't want to do this many more times...

Thumbs up Okay...I guess

Well, I dumped everything (used "Erase All Content"), and reloaded it all, which (of course) takes a while. It seemed to have worked, for now.

Yeah try either unsubscribe from the podcasts and then syncing them again. Or try a hard reset.
