Default [SOLVED] Wow, awesome. I got dust under my screen.

Anyone else have a nice collection of dust under their screen?

My poor Zune 80 does in the lower right hand corner.

Anyway to get rid of it?

i've seen many threads on this....if you can get microsoft to replace it, go for it :]
otherwise...there aren't too many answers I've seen :[

DO NOT blow on it....it just goes further....

if you're willing to chance a wet cloth, you can try, although i don't think it'll be much help. Your best bet is to having microsoft give you a new one....their quality control lately hasn't been too good.

*question*
should you be asking this here? :\

I have the same problem with the lower left hand corner of my screen. I tried to take it back and replace it in store but they didn't have any others in stock. Not sure if MS would replace it or not.

it doesnt mean that you shouldn't make the switch. But I mean, it's a problem with a lot of devices. you know? there's going to be a way to get rid of it soon enough. If there's a problem that society wants to get rid of, someone will invent something. That's how the remote, watches, everything was created you know?

Would an invisible shield prevent this from happening?

wait. how is this awesome? I would suggest one or those electromagnetic dust remover things, but that might hurt the zune.

How bad is it exactly? Can you post a picture? Is this actually common?

just bash your zune on the table until the dust falls from behind the screen!
seriously though, if the store you bought it from cant swap it, call MS. i know how annoying dust behind the screen is, especially when you want to watch a video. i got some dust behind the screen of my cell phone one time, i decided to disassemble it and clean it up because it was just out of warranty.

You could always try getting a can of air and blowing it into and around the Zune to see if it helps at all.

You never know when you do that and M$ finds a way to not replace your 80. But I don't see why getting a case(something all Zunes should have) and using it wouldn't stop dust from getting in.

But I'd be picky and call MS. I wouldn't stand for dust under my screen :P

Wow. I'd be highly upset. I have some sort of fetish with nice clean screens. Any dirt, smudges, or scratches drive me insane.

hmm.. weird that zune can get dust in.. never knew that.. they're pretty sealed up.. had you try opening your zune before? if so.. that might be reason that it got dust in it..

I've heard of this happening but can't seem to understand how the dust gets in there. Is it through a bad seal on the edges or what?
