Angry ....so how do i get my wireless internet back up????

i scoured this board for answers and it seems like everyone was quick to post the application of unzoone

i read the read me file and saw that there was a .5% chance of wireless internet being affected by this

well.....

anyone have any quick advice before i go rambo on this vista ridden piece of crap??? i'm sure the developer won't be too quick w/an answer to what the 0.5% should do. i already got my zune ready to be sent back, so i could care less if after 3 days of tinkering and tankering i do find the answer. i just now want my wireless connection back...

my wireless internet is LITERALLY down....i had to dust off an ethernet cable

it's up, but it's not broadcasting so i can't connect to my internet (nor my neighbors when comcast is down...)

tried everything from updating the drivers to the wifi (up to date) to manually installing the drivers....and of course reboots and such.

** KNOWN ISSUES **

Around 0.5% of the users that have used UnZoone (the previous version) have noted
that they lose their ability to connect to the internet wirelessly after using the program.
I can assure you that UnZoone does not touch anything involved with Wireless Internet.
If you don't believe me, you can look at the batch file yourself and see the exact
changes I have to make.
i got two options in my head right now....either for the last time install the zune software and hope that the problem goes away and i can connect wirelessly to my internet again...

....or stealing my friends xp disc, kicking vista out the door, and throwing my zune to amazon personally

Calm down, I would recommend restoring your computer to a previous state. Click Start, and type System Restore, I recommend restoring to a day before the problem happened.

It looks like this isn't your only problem. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to back up your documents and format the machine. It's usually a good thing to do with any computer over time.

It seems much more like a computer problem... How old is it? What kind of specs?

Less Than A Year Old Dual Core W/vista Pre-installed...

The Computer Is Very Reliable, It's Just It Hates The Zune (and Other Vista Computers I Try, Even W/the Optional Driver Update)

*sorry For The Caps, Didn't Notice

just wanted to close this thread...

i called up dell, after 1 hour of great service (**** anyone who knocks dell) i was transfered to another agent who recommended that since my OS had errors, the wireless internet would NEVER work w/out an external method and it would be best if i just reformated.

so, a reformatted vista later....

my zune is now recognized and is properly syncing (so far)

wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooo
