my play/pause button on my Zune 80gb is not functioning. It has happened to me once before as well but the problem miraculously righted itself. I've only had my zune since christmas and it hasnt been dropped or shoved anywhere which owuld damage it so I'm at a loss. I'm hoping the functionality will return but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar problem, or if there is a fix

You might try using the combo that clears content and firmware and then reload it. Perhaps that'll fix it: http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/zun...binations.html

I have the same problem but on a Zune 8, I think the button is stilll working, its the play/pause function that isn't working. The reason I say this is because the player continues playing even when the headphones are pulled out of the jack. anybody got any ideas or do i need to get in touch with Microsoft.
NB I'm in Ireland so official support is more complicated. |

I would call microsoft, if those don't work.

Did you try putting the new firmware on it first.

I did first try reinstalling the 2.3 firmware but no luck, i then tried downgrading to the 2.1 firmware which was successful but still didn't fix the problem so I guess now sending it to Microsoft is the only answer. This will however be complicated with me living in Ireland.

Yea, I suppose that is the only and best option.
