OKay, i've been across the internet searching about this Zune Hung Error, and so far ive come up with nothing. Ive called the Zune rep 4 times and they are clueless. Im certain this isnt a software issue anymore, ive uninstalled, reinstalled used your tools (unzoon, SZIp) and ive restored my zune many times. Microsoft said they are sending a coffin for my "dead" zune, (not dead, just hard drive quits randomly) Big dissapointment microsoft, i wish i bought an ipod touch instead...

I had this issue too and after a lot of frustration, I found that it only happens when I sync a lot of files at once and works fine with small amounts of files being synced. So I sync all my files at once, but in 30% segments and then to 50% segments. After 30% is complete, I end the sync and disconnect the Zune. Reconnect it and repeat until 100% happens quickly.

I have the same problem. My Zune80 has been great since november. Now I can get about 1269 songs on it, after that the Z80 just hangs on any further Syncing. Now I have to come up with a cool story to tell the Apple Wonks at work where my Zune is. Tech support is sending me a return label so hopefully the can get it repaired. I suppose the HD is on it's last legs. Too bad Microsoft does not have any tools for the HD since an 80gig HD could use a little maintenance from time to time.

Try uninstalling with unzoone and reinstalling with the full package.

I got that and my Zune died. Try Re-installing the software, if that doesn't work, The best (and probably only) thing you can do is reinstall the whole thing and wipe it clean. Press Back-Left-Center when the Zune is booting up.

if you still have difficulty, i had the same problem, but then I remembered I installed apple's quicktime which installed other crap, so I uninstalled the other crap (except quicktime) because it could have been interfering with itunes or some other crap, but anyways after I did the uninstallation, my zune instantly worked... so try that.

i have done everything here. what other "crap" would quicktime have installed. this zune is brand new, and it seems that it started working sometime after i attempted zalternator. any ideas?
