I don't yet own a Zune but I'm trying to decide between an Ipod and Zune. Here is my situation. I have some friends with huge music collections on their Ipods and in ITunes on their Mac computers. I'm a PC user and really don't like the interface of the Ipod. My question is this: With the Zune, can I drag songs into it directly without having the Zune software on the computer? I really don't care about syncing and I don't want to store all that music on my PC either. Also, I'm sure my Mac friends will not want to install the Zune software. I hope the Zune can be used like a hard drive so that songs can be dragged in and out at will. Second question, can I delete songs directly from the Zune without connecting to a computer?
Thanks in advance for you help. |

To your first question: No you have to have the software on your computer to do anything with the Zune. And yes it can be used as a hard drive, after the HDD hack.
Second: As far as I know, you can't delete songs from you Zune unless connected to a computer.
