Yep, I've just edited the "above post"
It says: " Edit: I didn't say draining the zune's battery is called hard reset. The result of draining the battery (clearing the values of the hardware) is suppose to be called hard reset hense the name "Hard (hardware) reset"" Anyways, lets get back to the original topic.

Yeah, please do. I too am having the same problem. Random restarts after 2-3 mp3s are played (including audio podcasts).
Is your solution to drain the battery, plug it back into the PC for a part/full recharge and then do a reset when unplugged by pressing back and holding up on the touchpad? (and I don't need to delete the data on the Zune?) Or do I also need to delete everything by pressing the back, center and play button combinations also after I drain the battery? Will that solve the problem? (Btw, I too have the problem of not being able to return my Zune for another as I'm in the UK and got a cousin to buy me one from the US, so a solution will be much appreciated). Update: I did a soft reset (hold back and up) then a hard reset (hold back left and play) and then waited for my Zune's battery to die. I then plugged it to the PC, reloaded the firmware and synced up all the music again (mp3) and the rebooting is still occuring.
Any help? |
