I just noticed that the Dpad is slightly off center.
I posted this in my other thread but I think its serious enough that it needs attention via its own thread. ![]()

Doesn't look that bad.
Like Pickleman said, does it affect performance?

I physically measured my Zune 80 and it seems to be an optical illusion....it measured perfect, but still looks askew...hrm....

The zPad issue was something I had heard about long before I ever laid eyes on the new Zunes. Just before Thanksgiving I bought an 8-gig Zune, and it did seem a little askew, but as it was a gift for someone I didn't really scrutinize it. Just after Thanksgiving I bought myself an 80, and I saw that it is, in fact, slightly turned clockwise in the case.
But... turn your Zune off, and hold it. Then, as if you were using the zPad to forward to another track, brush your thumb across the pad. Look closely, and you will see that the "twist" in the design naturally follows the path that your thumb makes. Hold it as if you are watching a video, and you get the same thing. I really think this "off-center" pad thing was an actual design of the product. Anyone agree? |

Wow that's wicked. I never noticed that about my 80 gig. I bought one of those Zune branded leather cases and the cut-out hole for the zPad matches exactly with the slight slant. Must be intentional
