Default Can't uninstall zune software

Tried to re-install zune. When I was uninstalling the software first I got an error that the uninstall failed. I looked in add/remove programs in the control panel and the Zune software is no longer there. But when I try to install the zune software I get an error that the old software must be removed. The Zune directory is gone. I have tried all the programs suggested on the form and nothing seems to fix this. If I could find out why windows think the zune software is still installed I could load the zune software again. Any suggestions??

Did you restart your computer afterwards. If so then still try the uninstall software in the tools section.

Open regedit and go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Zune and delete all of the values there

Or even better just search for zune and delete everything it comes back with

Take a table saw to it, you will never have to deal with the zune software ever again.
