My laptop, which has all my music, is dead. And I can't get on it, so I basically lost all my music. I had around 1000 songs that I really don't feel like re-downloading. So is there a way to take the music from my Zune and copy it to my other PC?

When you install your Zune software on another PC, you open up your Zune on the software (X's ZUne or whatever you called it). Then in the upper right corner there are two arrows pointing towards each other, make sure that is clicked. Select all the music on your Zune and then on the bottom right hit copy from device and they are all on your computer. I am doing this now, but I'm kinda thinking that is why our laptops are dead in the first place. I am trying to figure a way of not having the music on my computer but still having the songs on my zune

ummm...
install the software onto your working computer, then use the guest hack then turn off auto sync, then plug in your zune then copy all the stuff onto your zune to your computer by dragging all the songs onto the sync list there should be a button that says copy from device... or something like that. after everything is copied you'll have all your songs on your computer, and on your zune. you might get a problem with a pop up when you plug your zune in with the guest hack on. just close that and don't worry about it untill all your music is on your computer. rename your zune and set it up as the home computer after you get all your music. you can turn autosnc back on after you music os copied too.

I also needed to do the same thing and i installed the guest hack but never saw the popup that was on the screen shot when I plug in the zune it says your zune needs a name and I cancel that then I try to copy all music from device to comp and it starts sync but then says stopped and nothing has been copied.

Actually, its built into the zune software, just plug in your zune, go to your zunes song list etc, select the ones you want, drag and drop into the sync list, but instead of showing the sync to device button, it changes and you can reverse sync back onto a new pc.
It comes as standard, no guest hack or anything needed. Full article here: Right here... |
