zune requirements

i'm in the market for a zune and i'm doing reserch into it. I need to konw now if a internet conection is needed for use, because my family has a mac a the network hub and i have a pc in my room that doesn't have a net conection yet.

Internet is needed for the Zune Market Place and upgrades. Other than that you need no connection.
