Default [help] Videos in Zune Software

Is there any way to force the Zune Software to see your 'videos' as TV shows (or as music videos)? As of right now, my TV shows and music videos are all in one big "videos" category.. it sucks.

Also, is it possible to edit the metadata of my videos? i'm assuming that this depends on what format the videos are in - mine are in wmv and mp4, i believe - but i would gladly convert to a format more metadata friendly.

Thanks for any assistance!

Is there any way to get videos to show up in different folders/playlists on the actual Zune device? Similar to how you can browse pictures by date or folder..

That would be nice. So far, I am a bit underwhelmed by the quality of the Zune firmware and software.. I can only hope it will get better with time- I am looking forward to any and all updates they provide!

That is one missing feature of the Zune... you can't really organize your videos well!

You have to remember that this is their first version of the Zune and Software. My first generation iPod wasn't even close to being user friendly and it certainly didn't offer anywhere near the perks that the Zune does. Microsoft is going to fine-tune the Zune firmware and software over the coming months, we just have to be patient.

the zune website states that u can edit certain parts of the metadata to make tabing (music videos, tv shows, etc.) possible using windows media encoder 9.

now i havent been able to do this yet but i guess it is possible. here is the link:

http://www.zune.net/en-us/support/ho...idecontent.htm

does anyone know of a metadata editor?

Nice find, it probably won't be hard finding a metadata editor...
