desert zune

i am currently deployed in the us military and i just got a new 30g white zune.
i have a dell laptop with windows vista on it all i want to is be able to use my damn zune sounds easy enough rite. the problem is the only internet acess i have is at work and it is very restricted!!! any one have a similar problem if so how did you fix it???

Hey Airmen,

You only need an internet connection to download new music and podcasts, you can still charge the Zune and sort your library without any internet.

If you need the the software itself then all I can suggest is finding a non-restrictive connection to download it, or download it somewhere else and put it on a thumb drive.

that would work but there is no non military internet here the biggest problem is that even when i plug my zune into a non vista computer the zune itself says that i need to update software make this insanity stop please can somone break this down all simple like for me

If you have the software installed and music on your zune, you can buy a wall
charger for like 20$, then you don't need a computer to charge your zune!
