My Video Syncs but I can't see it using the device

I have a 30gb 1st Generation Zune. I used to use it only for music but bought it for video. Now that I am trying to upload videos (I have tried wmv, mp4, and m4v) it doesn't work!
mp4 and m4v don't work at all, they just convert forever and after two days aren't done.
WMV looks to sync okay, it appears on the device menu on the computer. But on the device itself under videos I have NO ITEMS. In the about it lists how many songs, podcasts, and pictures I have as well as 3 videos. But there is no way to actually access these videos on the device.
I've emailed Microsoft about this problem but they don't seem to want to give me an answer.
Please help!

Meh, I had a silimar problem and my only solution was clearing the firmware and then reformatting/resyncing the entire device. That worked fine.

Also, for further reference, just call 1877getzune instead of emailing Microsoft and you'll have faster help.
