Bad batt?

I just bought a zune off ebay that was sold by a seller who sells returns (that was an akward sentence). I have my zune plugged in for on for hours and only once in a while will the battery symbol turn green, but for the most part it just says charging for the whole time. It also gets pretty warm while charging and no syncing/HDD activity. Is this normal? I guess the battery has crappy life, but i'm not sure... The first day I got it, it wasn't charged all the way up when i went to school, but it barely lasted me until the bus ride home (around 4:00) so about 5-6 hours counting a little time that my computer had shut off at night.

Should I return it? I've been waiting since the zune came out and i've only had it for about 3 days but I don't want to have a dud...

could it be the charger itself?
do you know anyone that can lend you one?

this way you can eliminate possibilities

I have it plugged into different usb ports and it behaves the same in all. and no, i don't hve some one who can lend me one...

I just had it out last night to listen to sleep, and i stopped it from playing well before i went to sleep and it was dead in the morning (I went to bed around 12) I'm charging it now.

I think that is IS a bad battery because when I have it charging for hours and then unplug it, the battery symbol is full for 5 minutes, then it looses 1/4 of it much faster than it should (i think).

i have to say after reading about it ..it has to be a bad battery especially if you've played around with diff usb ports. call tech support and blast at them!
