Sync your Zune to your computer as a quest. It will no longer automatically sync, but it will also no longer automatically delete files from your Zune not found on your compy.

Open the Zune software, go to Settings -> Device -> "forget this device" and then when you plug it in next, set it up to sync as a guest.

If you have the newest software version 2.5. Delete it from the zunesoftware and it'll ask you if you want to delete it from the computer, but not on the zune. Select that and it won't delete it off your zune.

I´ve tried like three times to erase the file from my computer without deleting it from my zune, but still, when the zune syncs, it gets erased... I don´t know what to so, and I´m a little concerned about turning my device into the guest option... Could you please give me some guidance??? I´ll appreciate it very much....And yes, the software version is 2.5...

Just set the Zune to guest mode, this is the easiest way.

Do you live outside of the US, have Paypal, and want the Zune Pass? If so PM me.

The easiest way is to drag and drop the files from a unmonitored folder to the zune software, then sync. After you've synced the files to your zune, just delete it off your computer.

Setting the zune to guest mode will make you loose too much of zune software's functionaility including wifi sync.

The thing is that I want to save space in my hard disk, but without losing the music and videos that I have in my zune.....
