Screen cracked

Hey guys my screen has cracked for no apparent reason and i live in the middle east there are no places to fix it but i thought i could buy the lcd screen and fix it alone does anyone know the modle of the lcd screen and how much it might cost

Make sure you don't make the problem worse than it is now, make sure you have the right tools if you are going to attempt fixing it, good luck man.

From what i hear this is common. It is caused by leaving your zune on the charger all night or longer and the battery expanding and causing the screen to crack.

Just a heads up so it doesn't happen again. So far MS hasn't stepped up and assumed responsibility for it.

Sorry physically impossible....battery isn't close enough to the screen to crack it. That's rumor probably started by some moron who doesn't know how to carry his zune.

Agreed, it really doesn't make any sense.

If the battery were to expand to such a degree it would probably stop working (read: hydrogen explosion) before it would crack the screen.

Besides, I leave mine on the charger almost all the time (I know I shouldn't but I just don't care, I rarely use the battery power for extended periods).
